Cover Maker generates book-cover artwork and print-ready files using third-party AI models, based on prompts and content you provide. Output is machine-generated and varies; we do not guarantee any particular quality, style, spelling, or fitness for a specific purpose.
Sign-in is by email magic link; entering your email creates an account. You are responsible for activity under your email address. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to circumvent limits, or generate prohibited content.
Credits are prepaid usage units priced at our underlying cost (AI model fees plus payment-processing fees). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Credits never expire, are not transferable, and are not redeemable for cash. If a generation fails on our side, its credits are automatically refunded to your balance. Because each generation incurs real third-party costs the moment it runs, completed generations are non-refundable — if something clearly went wrong, contact us and we'll make it right.
You keep all rights you hold in the manuscripts and text you upload. You grant us only the limited right to process that content (including sending it to AI model providers) to deliver the service. We don't use your manuscript to train models, and we don't share it beyond the processing needed to serve you. Only upload content you have the right to use.
To the extent we hold any rights in images generated for you, we assign them to you — you may use your generated covers commercially, including on books you sell. Two honest caveats: (a) the legal status of AI-generated images (including copyrightability) varies by jurisdiction and is still evolving; (b) similar outputs can be produced for other users. We can't and don't guarantee exclusivity or trademark/copyright clearance — checking that a cover is safe to use for your specific purpose is your responsibility.
Don't use the service to create content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or intended to deceive (including impersonating real people or brands). Don't scrape, resell, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for how you use generated output.
We store: your email address, your generated images and saved projects, a ledger of credit purchases and usage, and standard server logs (IP, timestamps). Payments are handled by Stripe. Prompts and uploaded text are sent to AI providers (e.g. DeepInfra, Google) solely to generate your output. We don't sell your data, and we don't send marketing email without your consent. You can delete your account and all its data yourself at any time — open the account menu (👤) in the studio and choose Delete my account. Everything is removed immediately; only payment records are retained, as required by law.
We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA.
